Surround yourself with those that help you GROW.
My mom always hit me with the "Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are" line... She was never too off point with that.
Lately I've been finding myself observing those I hang around with and trying to analyze what growth they bring to me as a human being. Whether it be good conversation through wisdom, a good ear to hear me out, compatibility or even discussions on new views, etc... As an artist, I am suppose to surround myself with those who help me and encourage me. If you're in the same boat but can't relate, then it's time for a friend elimination round.
So far I've made a few changes and realized those who truly help me spiritually grow. By grow, I mean expand my views on life, help me learn, guide me, inspire me and bring to me an aura of positivity. Why not? We all deserve a little goodness, nah?
In a nut shell, be with those who help make a difference in your every day reality. Narrow it down to those whom you feel you cannot live or GROW without; those who teach you the values of friendship and most of all the values of life. But don't get too cocky here, this works both ways, do your job and inspire others as well. Invest in your friends' spiritual growth too. Be that person people will forever remember, that person people feel they couldn't live without. That person that inspires to THINK & GROW.
