And So this is Christmas, that holiday where we get to celebrate the birth of Jesus ChristO, get mad gifts, go broke and put up a front where we are jolly and spend time with the ones we love... when in reality 364 other days a year we're too preoccupied with ourselves... Good Morning! Sola about to bust your bubble again with my little blog rant. But oh well, lol.
It is pretty sweet that christmas (or thanksgiving) is that holiday where we get together, play that old School Sinatra, gather round the table, fill our stomachs n feel appreciative. It's beautiful for sure, my question is why does it take a holiday for our moods to be brighter... For us to feel the need to be thankful, charitable and happy. It seems like it becomes this necessity rather then a desire... Which is where I see a decrease in value. We are not actors, therefore why we actin?
Keepin the faith is definetly a full time job. I can't stand it sometimes when I gotta listen to people preaching, but it's gonna have to come out at some point. Just a thought I'm throwin out there. If your're lucky enough to even have an electronic device to be reading this as opposed to others that dont get the chance to sit at a dinner table, then theres something to be thankful about. some of us really gotta stop complaining bout the littelest luxury shit... C'mon dude you for real?
Anyway, well Merry Christmas. But dont make it a one day thing. Be merry all year round, all the time. Start to do shit you wouldnt regularly do on any other day, help others in need, help yourself even. And for the new year, instead of setting a new Resolution some of us tend to drop at the mid-Jan... Just think about what you've accomplished so far. How you'd like to improve and for Pete sake Stick to it. Stay Focused. I can't speak for others, but I do speak for myself when I say that I do challenge myself everyday. I got my resolution, it's actually a 2 part resolution that I started up in 2010... 2011 is the continuance. Im keepin my balance and i'm never gonna forget how hard I fight on the daily to reach the level im at. You don't need the intro of a new year to start fresh, the beauty in life is you can pick yourself up whenever you decide to.
Don't get me wrong now, I wish everyone in the world a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. But this one is on ourselves to achieve, nobody else. Be Safe & Most Importantly... Be Yourself.
