Chicks N' Kicks.

Now as much as this post title sounds like about every teenage boys obsession, it aint, lol. SOLA LOOOOVES SNEAKERS!! So this here is about GIRLS/FEMALE ARTISTS Collabos with Sneaker brands.  Well... my top 5. Ready? here goes...

HELLZ x VANS
"The Hadley"

Lanie n the whole Hellz Bellz crew are some dope creative chicks. Back in Feb when these came out, I was in Awe Kudos for originality... From The zippers, to the laces and upto to the frontal tongue logo. These were some sexy sneakers. Whether Casual or fancy night out when you seek confort and decide to put aside those heals.

ADIDAS + FAFI
"Fafi Honey Mid"

Want your walking to do the talking? Outspoken French born artist and illustrator Fafi had all eyes fixated on feet with the custom HONEY model. I've always been a fan of her female characteristic style, just cuz the girls she draws are so raw and all got that "Don't fuck with me" attitude. This shoe is filled with em'. Plus the detailing is ridiculous. Even cooler, she's got much more colorful models as well. Anyway since these came out a big while back, I'm not even sure where to cop these. But they remain on my list. Fafi succeeds at complimenting adidas kicks and everything they stand for: ORIGINALITY.

Va$htie x Jordan
"Air Jordan RETRO II Lavender"

So I'm a bit biased. Why? Because Jordans are totally ill. While Air Jordan IIs aren't specifically my favorite model, I think a big heads up goes to Va$htie for being the head pioneer in swaggin out the feet of east coast females. Keeping in mind that Va$htie KOLA broke record for being the first female to design Jordans, these came out pretty dope. Va$htie has always been one to be so laid back, talented, stylish, chill and easy going. So she gives the sickest feminin twist to a male-oriented sneaker. With her signature Violet, these kicks are comfortable and slick, take em out & rock em on that hot summer day or on your way to the court to have them boys attempt to spit game lol. Riiiiiiight.....

MadeMe x Vans
"Camryn & Wellesly"
LIFE IS A MYSTERY. Ohh I'm so goddamn excited about these. Meet the Camryn & the Wellesley. I been on the lookout for MadeMe designer Erin Magee and her creations for quite some time now. Lord knows all the shit I was wondering about when I heard that Vans was gonna collab with the canadian-born designer. Anyway they came out leather, skinny and SO-F^CK!NG-AWESOME. Skater meets fancy? Je pense que Oui! 80's inspired (we all know thats the great hip hop years) these kicks just complete that White-Vneck-Leather-Bomber-Jacket & Skinnies outfit out in the city! Did I mention I bought these sneakers twice? :) OH OH AND ALSO DID i mention the soles are red?! THE SOLES ARE F^CKK!N RED!! Aye diios!  F^CK!N LOVEE IT. Good news too these, came out in November so you can still cop your own pair at KARMALOOP.com!

CLAWMONEY x VANS
"Claw Money Aleeda"

Brief history. I hate spending over a 100$ bucks on shoes, i rather that go on art supplies or food or something lol so anything VANS and me was love at first sight. Now. VANS x CLAW MONEY. CLAW MONEY is my hero, my inspiration and jesus the godmother of graffiti in my eyes. Two models came out of the collabo but the Aleedas are my personal favorites and at 75 bux a pop, i think SO. The color scheme too, who else can pull off leopard print on a light minty green/grey sneaker fresher then then Vans & Claw herself. Just like miss Claudia's work, these sneakers are timeless and while your sitting there wondering what the fuck am I on... they look way better in life form. And even way, waaaaaay better on SOLA's feet. Rockin shorts or skinnies...  catch me longboarding in these babies in the summertime. Now  ladies, let's roll over to the skatepark and  show these boys how we can shred shall we?

on a final note, there aint no such thing as a too many sneakers. These amazing collabos are so blissful to me because I love the idea of shoes being your canvas. Art is everywhere and even looking at these kicks from a non artistic point of view, s#!t is still eye catching. One day, I'll make my own kicks. Youuuuu'll seeeeeeee, lol.
