Be above it.

Before I start to write anything over here I'd like you, my beautiful minded reader to remember these words... BE ABOVE IT.

We are architects.
The situations we go through are little model buildings we create and we have to remember that we are ABOVE them. Most of us live inside these model buildings, which means we eliminate the idea of stepping out and viewing our lives from a birds eye view. Little do we know how minor these things we allow to take over our mind truly are in the end.

I've been thinking of the many times I've been sucked into situations, convincing myself that I cannot get over them or find alternate solutions... Whatever obstacles are thrown at me, I can either allow them to suck me right in and continue to torment me... or I can choose to be above them and not even give a [insert sh*t/f*ck here]. My mind allows me to be that architect looking at that model blueprint I created and it allows me to decide exactly where I place myself. So I choose to place myself right above it. Can't phase me, I created this model!

For example, lately I've been finding a lot of people being rude to me. Not even gonna sweat it. These people aren't familiar with the 'be above it' rule so they will miss out on all of the greatest opportunities in life and that surely ain't my fault. Never be rude. Even if someone is rude with you. They chose to be rude in the first place and they will get nowhere further than rudeness. You lose if you let them gain success in bringing out the beast in you, so remain the beautiful being you are and let that slide. We're above their lack of understanding. Plus who knows, maybe they're just having an off day. We can't control other people, but we sure can control ourselves. Whenever something like so occurs, seriously ask yourself if it really is worth your time, your energy and your sanity to get worked up over. Will this matter a year from now? If not, keep it movin. Let's focus our attention on something a little more worthy of our time. Looking at a problem from up high, you end up realizing there is little to no problem at all. The only reason negative thoughts or situations over power our minds is solely because we allow them.

Our lives are everything we think, everything we perceive and everything we choose to do. We are masters of our own lives, but why do we forget that? I believe we should spend more time with our thoughts. We need to hang out with ourselves more. The way we would hang out with another person, start a conversation and create growth, we can also do all on our own. We are full of inner knowledge and wisdom, we just gotta dig. I once read that Socrates believed we never learned anything, we just recollected knowledge. Meaning that we already know a lot and when we think we "learn" really we are just remembering something we already know. That always stuck with me. Think about it.

Spend a little time with your thoughts and converse with yourself. Express yourself to yourself. Understanding my little "be above it" rule will make you see that we hold the control panel to our emotions and our actions, nobody else.  Any situation that occurs, we can get above of.

Til next time my fellow architect, thanks for lettin a sola pick your brain.
